more tour!

Leeds & Newcastle

Word of the day: Onomatopoeia & Penultimate

So Wolverhampton was canceled, The plan was to drive there and stay in the hotel we had booked only half hour form the venue and just have a day of rest!

Turns out you can only get 3 people in a Travelodge.............Not 8. So Chirs and Tibby waddled in to book in a check out if they could sneek us in. Fuzz, Myself and Norris sat in the can still get a call from chris saying we cant get in. the £10 diesel back to Milton Keynes VS. The £39 For a room settled the score. Myself norris and fuzz drove back again to Milton Keynes.

Me and Fuzz ended up spending the night at Jacks house. Norris buggered off to get balls deep with his girlfriend and miss out on man times (No offence norris) The thing is i have known known jack for what must be about 3 years now and never in that time have i been to his house or met his parents. He's always been somewhat illusive on that front. The times before we have stayed with him was at hus friends uni flat where he had a key and would sneak in when they were all back home with there family's.

So the picture i had printed of what jacks house would look like was hardly picture perfect. However when we got there, it turns out his parents home is probably one of the nicest houses i have ever been into!

Everything was oversized and modern, his room was immaculate yet full of stuff that just sums up who jack is. Flyers of old shows, keyboards, some 70's racing bmx. Even an amy can flyy poster on his wall!

After about 10 mins we were all just in our pants chilling out watching antiques programs. I had what may have been the nicest bath of my life...EVER and spent about a hour and a half listing to Dallas Green having a good old soak.

We ended up at some club night. Well if you can call it a club night. I could count the amount of people there on one hand if im honest! See the problem i have is when your at a club and the D.J plays Incubus three times in the space of 1 hour. Its a sign you should really leave. 2 portion of cheezy chips and what may be the most bizzare conversation with a taxi driver ever. We were back at jacks all tucked up in bed sound asleep .Well me and fuzz were. I am pretty sure jack was up all night arguing with chris or something over FB chat.

Leeds.

In the morning Norris picked us up looking refreshed and cheery and we drove all the way back to meet up with the others at the hotel somewhere near wolverhamton. When we got there mark was stood out side with a plasic cup, he had only bloody won some money of a fruit machine, sold a few Ep's and hit on the emo girl working at WHsmiths! WOOF

The drive to leeds was short and uneventifull. The venue on the other hand looked like it should be a lazer quest. The massive Beam in the middle of the stage where i was supposed to stand did not fill me with confidence about the venue. The sound guy was really nice. However is love of filling the room with gothic epic rock pissed us off so much we went to primark and i wasted my money on socks, hairbands, raybans and a coat! nomnomnom

None of us were expecting the show to be as busy as it was. We sold a shit ton of merch and everyone seemed well up for getting involved and enjoying themselfs.

Canda water edd got the worlds worst migrane on stage and spent the rest of the evening curled up on the sofa wrapped up in Tibbys coat hating on life.

Casio kid came on and the sound just well there wasnt sound. The guitar cut out the backing track was too low and jacks vocals....well im not sure they were plugged in to start with.

Me and chris were stood at the side of the stage looking at eachother like Oh fuck this is going to be fun!

reluctently we head onstage after Casio kid and set up and started to play. Out of nowhere the sound got good and we played probably the best set of tour so far.

My voice held out and i really enjoyed myself!

After the show we went to the hotel and got ready to go to Slam Dunk.

Probably the best club night EVER.

In the morning, hanging out of our asses we hit the road to newcastle.

Turns out it was the same venue that we met suzi:won in for lunch over two years ago. After what may have been the best lunch ever we loaded in to this venue. It was just a perfectly square dark room with a balcony surrounding the stage.

On our first tour we played the carling academy 2 in newcastle with sabrepulse and casio kid. It was sold out and probably one of the best shows and days of my life. Needless to say with this in mind we still had high expectations for the show tonight.

I spend most the night waiting outside in the cold for my friend Sophie who never turned up! by the time i went back inside it was pretty much time to go on stage. The turn out was pretty poor and everyone was in a fowl mood. We went on and made the most of a bad situation. After we loaded out we found jack waisted arguing with our tour manager about where we were staying. It ended up in Jack going home with Rob, the bum loving promoter. Leaving the rest of us going back to the hotel.

Heartlepool!

45Min drive and we were there at lunch time. We slept in the venue. Went to a museum, it turns out you guys hung a monkey because you thought it was a french spy. Well done guys!

The show was shocking 15 through the door. We got hammered Ed dressed up as a woman we partied and made the most of it...Again!

Leciester!

We stayed with ben the promoter after the heartlepool show. IN the morning he woke us up at 9am and kicked us out because he had to get a tattoo.

Spoons breakfast was cheap and lovely. After killing a few hours the new driver arrived and we changed from noris to Tom!!!!

Loaded into the venue and i met up with my old friend lucy, it was honestly so lovely to see her it was unreal. A few hours later my lovely ex girlfriend turned up and we had a good cath up too.

The show was rammed about 300 people, the best pick me up ever. We made a killin on merch again and everyone was so involved. A lot of kids seemed to know the words and singing a long as loud as we were.

It was the best feeling ever, last time we a show like that was Northampton last year and it was so refreshing. Best feeling evereverevereverever!

Shortly after we got of stage we were told no one was allowed out the building. The lovely people of leciester were beating people up outside and the show was shut down. Insted of us feeling really bad for this poor lad we made the most of everyone being in one room and were running around selling merch like dirty salesmen haha!

We brought subways, a few members of some bands swapped out hotel room for some green and we stayed at the promoters again.

Fuzz, tibby and me went straght to bed. Mark and jack got naked and had a bath togeather.

Wolves back to MK!

Word of the day : Decanter

Good charlotte fact for the day : Girls dont like boys, girls like cars and money.

This morning i woke up in a room with 7 smelly boys, the beds smelt like damp and there were some suspicious looking stains on the pillow.

It was not till the morning we realized that the guitarist form the support band was actually Dave (Eddie) from son of dork! Remember the emo one with the blonde hair? There are a lot of girls.......and old men for that matter that may have seen his balls on chat roulette last night, for that i am sorry.

I am almost starting to enjoy not drinking on tour. Im seeing things from a different perspective than i usually would, and not feeling half as bad for it in the morning!

To me the last few days have not really been tour. Just a few shows away from home ,places we play fairly often and is just standard. Today however marked the end of that. Its been too long since i had that feeling of being so far away from home, completely detached from my usual life. As much as i do love my job and my friends back home. Nothing ever compares to this, i know it is horrifically cliche but i feel most at home on the road.

Today we had a issue with weight on the van, the downfall being Stu from casio kid cant make the tour and Fuzz and George will have to fill on for the rest of the dates.

Jack is pretty pissed but so would i be if im honest.

The plan today was to go to Wolverhampton and stay in the hotel, the problem is when we got there it turns out the hotel was booked for three people......not seven.

The result being im now sat in the van with norris jack and fuzz driving back to milton keynes to stay with jacks parents. Upside is we get to go to some club night, not that i am allowed to drink!

I started writing today in hope to come out with something more inspiring and deep than just a listed account of events. Oh well! Two weeks to go im sure i will think of something!

No sweet live shots, just me in the van!

Tour :)

Its 1:34 am, Im laying in bed with flu. Next door 16 of my best friends are drunk on chat roulette. These are the moments in life i live for.

Today is the 3rd day of our U.K tour with Casio Kid and Canada water. I know its a line up you have all seen before but who cares!

Im going to start at the begining, and fill you in a little!

Plymouth, Day one: The wonders of working in a bar, i finished at 5am only to have to wake at 9 to load out all our gear to the new van. The rest of the lads arrived at my flat and we loaded out and head to the drum store to meet canada water! Lets not forget the fact me jack and fuzz found trilbies and lenseless raybans to piss of chris!

After a long wait for canada water we all got our tour laminates, probably the coolest thing in the world, and with that we were off.
3 hours into the drive we pulled into a service station, wanting only a portion of chips at burget king i got in line. You see the thing is i panic a lot sometimes and make rush decisions.
i got called up as it was my turn to order, i looked at the board above and couldnt see chips. i mean, i know they do them but they werent there! so i ordered the first thing i saw, some hot chili chicken salso sandwich. Now for startes i dont like hot things, or chilli. Not only that it was £7 pounds! i only wanted a portion of bloody chips. :(

On the way out we saw ash from i say marvin. We have not seen this boy for 2 years! There he was just chilling out parked next to us. crazy crazy. Anyway. so we drove of to Plymouth to the Hippo. We played here years ago to about 7 people so we hardly had high hopes. The venue was massive about 600Cap.
After the best ryder ever we went out and played to a fairly good crowd!

The drive home was killer tho, i slept for most of it and felt like shit. Got to chris's house at 4am . in the snow and ice. straight to bed.

9am, Tour manager Tibbins wakes us up and loads us out to guildford. I feel like shit and can hardly talk at all. another drive consisting of more sleep and district 9 resulting in droping my mac on the floor and spilling a box of crunchy nut all over the floor over the van .
We got to the venue and all had a fucking beaut shower. Sound check was horrid, no noice came out my mouth at all.
I sat in silence for the rest of the day drikning a bottle of Colvonnia "cough medison with clought!"
Went for a drink with my ex who was from around the area and came back for the show.
I lost my voice completly after the first song. Casio jack came on to sing the songs and some people frm the crowd. I felt horrid and like i had let everyone down . We ended up at our friends hosue form back home who are now at uni in Guildford. I had a bath, watched labyrinth with fuzz and had a early night. The rest of the tour crew on the other hand get trashed, destroyed town and someone, hit a woman!

So that brings us to today, Milton Keynes. We always have fun at this town.
We decided it best for me no to sing so Ed from canada water, Casio jack and Canada tom and filled in singing!!
We spent £60 pounds on pizza, everyone got hammered again and went on chat roulette. Resulting in crossdressing and gettting a 70 year old man to flash his cock.

Jacks friend Jacqui, who may i add is really lovely convinced me to write a blog about all this. so here it is!

Oh before i forget, i drank tea out of a ciggerette tray as there were no cups :)

Il update this as much as i can.

Catch you tomorrow wolverampton!
